However, anglers should know that during the summertime Stan Coffin Lake is mostly unfishable due to excessive aquatic vegetation growth and decreased water levels. Larger bass and Walleye style fishing boats can be launched at Stan Coffin. This lake is a very good warmwater fishery for Largemouth Bass, Bluegill Sunfish, and Channel Catfish.
